Day wise Travel Itinerary

Day 01: Cochin Arrival
Arrive at Cochin: - On arrival at Cochin you will be welcome by Trojan Holiday’s travel assistant and later get transferred to your hotel. A city tucked in the beauty of coconut palms and endless blue waters is one of the important towns in South India, with a natural Harbor. Cochin - Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala, overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Cochin
Cochin Sightseeing: - Hop on your private car to visit the popular attractions at Cochin. The attractions to travel around are "Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Muttanchery Palace, Hill Palace Museum, & Bolgatti Island". Visit Famed Marine drive: - Marine drive is the crown of attractions at Cochin. The sights to discover amidst boat cruise at Marine drive are naval base, harbor, & Mangalavanam Island. After sightseeing, you may go for shopping jewelries, handicrafts, and spices from local market. Enjoy at evening "KATHAKALI" performance by local artists, and relish on Keralian cuisine. Overnight stay at Cochin.

Day 03: Cochin – Guruvayoor (90 kms by road)
On the 3rd day have breakfast and proceed to Guruvayoor, a prominent centre for Hindu culture and religion, revolves around the Sree Krishna Temple known popularly as the Guruvayurappan Temple. Located at a distance of 3 km from the temple is Punnathoor Kotta. It is the palace ground of the former emperors of Punnathoor, where more than 60 elephants were trained. This elephant camp of the Guruvayoor Devasom Board is the only one in the world. All the elephants in this camp are offerings from devotees like politicians, businessmen and film stars to Lord Sree Krishna of Guruvayoor. Here you shall see the baby elephants playing and naughty adolescents feeding on piles of fodder and being looked after by their mahouts who wash and scrub them regularly in the sanctuary pond. The animals participate in the annual elephant race and the festivals held at Guruvayoor Temple and also at other temples of the state. Actually, it is the elephants from this camp that glimmer as stars in the Thrissur Pooram. Every year, after the strict festival schedule, the temple elephants undergo an annual healthcare regimen by the animal doctors. Night stay at hotel in Guryvayoor.

Day 04: Guruvayoor – Wayanad ( 181kms/ 04 hrs drive)
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Wayanad, check in on arrival to after Freshen up go for Sightseeing tour visiting to Lakkidi – the gateway to Wayanad, is situated 700m above the sea level, lofty peaks, gurgling streams and luxuriant forests, then visit Ambalavayal Heritage Museum – housing artifacts and belongings of the various tribes of the land. Evening free and overnight.

Day 05: Wayanad
Morning breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing, visiting to Pookot Lake- this perennial fresh water lake, nestled among wooded hills, is the only one of its kind in Kerala. Boating facilities and a fresh water aquarium are among the tourist facilities and then visit Meenmutty Waterfalls. Return to resort, dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Wayanad – Athirapally (200 kms/ 05 hrs drive)
After healthy breakfast in the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Athirapally.
It is the land of rivers and forests and great waterfalls!The destination houses the largest waterfall in Kerala, theAthirapally waterfall,a major tourist attraction. This patch in Sholayar ranges so beautifully intertwined with lush green forest cover and sizzling silver cascades and located central to Cochin and River Nila(Bharathapuzha),is a treat for the eyes during the monsoon.Swollen Chalakkudy river, Charpa, Vazhachal and Athirapally are ideal places where the monsoon is to be enjoyed. Check in at the hotel and day free for leisure activities, overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Athirapally – Munnar (130 kms by road/ 03 hour drive)
Afternoon morning breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Munnar. The journey to Munnar is filled with amazing sights of Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, low flying clouds, dew drenched forests, & foggy valleys. After the awe-stuck drive from Guruvayoor to Munnar, take rest on arrival at Munnar resort. In the evening go out for shopping, local sightseeing, and spend the time on leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar.

Day 08: Munnar Hill Station Sightseeing
Munnar Discovery: - Trojan Holiday’s representative will assist you after breakfast; for the 8th day itinerary. It is a tribute to fascinating attractions of Munnar beloved as the Kashmir of South India.
The expedition to discover the heart of Munnar covers Mattupetty Lake, Kundale Lake, Rajamalai National Park, Echo Point, Mattupetty Dam, & Blossom Garden. The unique attractions of Munnar to witness are Tata Tea Museum, trekking at Anaimudi Peak, and spotting a Nilgiri Tahr (rare wild Goat) at Rajamalai National Park. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 09: Munnar Hill Station Sightseeing
After healthy breakfast in the morning and rest day on leisure and personal activities. Enjoy visit of tea plantation field. Overnight stay at hotel in Munnar.

Day 10: Munnar - Thekedy (150 kms by road)
Drive from Munnar to Periyar: - Morning drive on a beautiful track dabbed with estates of rubber, cardamom, cocoa, green pepper and areca nut, to the untamed life hold at Periyar. Arrive at Periyar and check into your lodging.

Day 11: Thekedy
After healthy breakfast in the morning proceed for sightseeing.
Periyar Adventures: - Periyar a zone knew for its rolling hills, spice farms, and elephant chasing. Popular as one of the 27 tiger haven in India, the valley in Thekkady is the most senior.

Vembanad Lake is home to several types of marine life exclusively the 'Karimeen' (Pearl Spotted Fish), the 'Chemeen' (Prawns) and the 'Konju' (Tiger Prawns). On arrival transfer to hotel, visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary, rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 13: Kumarakom Sightseeing
In the morning, after breakfast day on leisure activities. Enjoy backwater in Kumarkom. Night stay at hotel in Kumarkom.

Day 14: Kumarkom - Alleppey Backwaters Magic (50 kms by Road)
By road from Kumarakom to Alapuzzha: - On Arrival leave on your private houseboat and sail across on the Backwaters, an awesome region full of trenches, canals, lakes and inlets.
Cruise on Kettuvallam: - The houseboats or "Kettuvallam" are lavish boats with lavishly designed rooms and attached bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or watch the palm fringed sleepy villages from your cabins. Separated from the exotic sceneries it’s the life along the coast that adds a touch of exotica to this experience.

Day 15: Alleppey – Kovalam (By road – 190 Kms)
In the morning after breakfast disembark the boat, and drive to Kovalam - is one of the most popular beach hangouts in India. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look. The palm-fringed bays in secluded coconut groves, promise a relaxed stay. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian Sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the stalwart palms and the rocky promontories, makes this beach paradise.
On arrival, check in at the Hotel. Rest the day is free at leisure on the beach, may take Ayurvedic massage or treatment at the hotel on direct payment basis. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 16: Kovalam - Kanyakumari – Kovalam
After breakfast same day excursion to Kanyakumari (87 Kms) - is the southernmost point of peninsular India and the meeting point of three oceans-the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Besides its importance as a Hindu pilgrim center, it is famous for its beautiful views of sunrise and sunset over the waters. The multicolored sand is a unique feature of the beach here. Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial. This memorial to Swami Vivekananda was built in 1970. Vivekananda was a social reformer and saint of modern India. He is supposed to have meditated on the rock where the memorial stands. Ferry service is available to reach the rock memorial Visit the Sangam which is the meeting point of the three major bodies of water, the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Drive back to Kovalam. Evening free to relax at beach, overnight at the Hotel.

Day 17: Kovalam
In the morning after breakfast day on leisure activities enjoy Kovalam beach visit. Evening sun set view. Overnight at hotel in Kovalam.

Day 18: Kovalam – Cochin ( 4 hour road drive)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin. Reach Cochin in the afternoon Check in to the Hotel . Evening enjoy shopping and other activities. Night stay in hotel.

Day 19: Cochin Departure
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to airport to board your flight back to home. Tour ends with sweet memories.
